PanditDeendayal Petroleum University is looking for meritorious young researchers for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF – 04 Post) for the following projects sponsored by Gujarat Energy Development Authority.
Project title: (Each 01 Post)
- Opto-electronic device based on Graphene and/or graphene composites.
- Nano-structured materials for water splitting and SOFC.
- Positive Electrode Material and Solid electrolyte for Li-ion Battery.
- System level demonstration on innovative solar PV technology.
Eligibility: Masters in Physics/Chemistry/Nanotechnology/Materials Scienceor M.Tech (60% or equivalent) from Solar and mechanical (GATE/NET qualification will be referred) M.Sc. candidates (first class) without NET/GATE can also apply.
Desired skills: Research experience will be preferred.
Duration: One year, (May be extended to 2nd and 3rd year based on the performance)
Fellowship: As per University norms.

Title of the project: Fabrication of Nature Inspired-nanohybrid as Electrocatalyst for Water Splitting and CO2 Reduction (funded by AISTDF Secretariat, Science & Engineering Research Board (SERB).

Name of the position: Junior Research Fellow
Essential qualifications: A bright candidate, having M.Sc. (Chemistry/Material science/Nanoscience). (NET/GATE would be preferred) or M.Tech (Chemical Engineering/Material Science/Energy) or any equivalent degree with relevant discipline. The selected candidate would be having privilege to register in Ph.D. program and the part of research work might be his/her thesis work.
Additional Skills:
- Since the project is in collaboration between, PDPU India, University of Malya Malaysia and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Vietnam, the selected candidate could get a chance to visit these country in order to perform the research work. Therefore, the candidates must have strong communication skill and knowledge of speaking English and writing as well.
- Knowledge about the fundamental concept of electro-chemistry, Nano-catalysis and potential to perform experimental work as well.
- A valid Passport
Fellowship: Rs. 31000 + 24% HRA = Rs. 38440/- per month
Duration: Two years or up to the termination of project, subject to annual performance review
